HiFi 2000, London England!!!

I had hoped to get these pictures up sooner, but here they are at last. As some my regular customers know, I went to London, England at the end of September to work at the HiFi News & Record Review, HiFi 2000 show. This is probably the biggest HiFi show in England and one of the biggest HiFi shows in Europe. I went to the show this year working for my good friends at Merlin Music Systems. We were sharing a room with those cool dudes from Rogue Audio. Prior to show, Rogue and Merlin had little exposure in the UK/Europe, so this was a great way for both companies to show off our gear to consumers and potential distributors overseas. I had a great time working with Mark Walker and Mark O'Brian at Rogue Audio at this show. The reception from mostly British and a few European audiophiles that attended the show was much better than we could have expected.

A look at the Rogue/Merlin set-up at HiFi 2000.

The picture above shows the main view of our set-up which consisted of Merlin VSM-Millennium speakers in Studio Black (with Battery BAM - $7,050 US retail)), Rogue Model 99 preamp ($1,995 US retail - line stage version), and Rogue M-120 monoblock power amplifiers ($2,695/pair US retail). All cabling in our system was provided by Cardas Audio (Golden Reference speaker cables, Golden Reference & Neutral Reference interconnects, and Golden power cords). I managed to splice two pictures together for the image below which gives a nice and somewhat panoramic view of the seating area and the front end we used which was a Arcam FMJ23 CD player (which Arcam kindly provided to us for use at this show).

Since I was working continuously at the room during this show, I (unfortunately) did not have a chance to go roaming around at this show and take many pictures.
