Well, you will have to excuse me folks for going a wee bit overboard, as this months Picture of the Month should be called Pictures of the Month. My recent trip to England at the invitation of Rega Research and their US Importer (Lauerman Audio Imports) left me with too many great pictures to choose from. To fully take advantage of this opportunity, I flew out a few days before the Rega tour & visit part of the trip to go to the HiFi News & Record Review sponsored HiFi show in London, do a little sight seeing, and some used LP record shopping. I spent just about a whole day traipsing around London and vicinity with Steve Lauerman (Lauerman Audio Imports) and Michael Fremer (Mr. Analog Corner from Stereophile magazine) visiting a number of used record shops. The highlight of this day was a visit to Beanos in Croyden (a suburb of London). I can be seen above in front of Beanos which contains three floors of used LP goodies that would tantalize any record collector. The picture below shows a happy Michael Fremer at the front counter of Beanos with a stash of goodies he picked out that day.

After carousing around London, it was off to the English country side in Essex to be wined, dined, and entertained by the great folks at Rega Research. Beside the obligatory factory tour, there was much fun and merriment as I made new friends with other US and European Rega dealers, and the great folks Rega Research. Live entertainment was featured each night for our group of 30 or so visitors and our Rega Research hosts. One of the live entertainment highlights was a private solo performance by Christine Collister (below left - folkies may recognize her from her former partnership with Clive Gregson). The happy looking guy at below right is US Rega Importer Steve Lauerman who just got Christine to autograph a Gregson & Collister LP he picked up the day before on our record shopping trip.
