In The House

I thought maybe it was a good time to give an updated look at the main listening room here at Signature Sound given the pictures on the Our Facilities page are now several years old! You can see in this picture just some of the gear that we currently carry (SimAudio, Merlin Music Systems, Rega Research, Joule Electra, Rogue Audio, PS Audio, Manely Labs, Monolithic Sound, etc.) which is on display. While this picture does show a interesting new item or two (the new PS Audio HCA-1 Power Amp and the Joule LA-150 preamp), there some key items that we are waiting on which include the new Audio Aero Capitole 24/192MKII CD Player,  the Joule Electra Stargate monoblock power amplifiers, and the new Rega Planar 9 (which will be arriving any day now).

My office area has not changed much though, but if you take a good look you can see I am running out of space for record (LP) storage. Unfortunately, I spend most of my days here talking to you folks and processing orders, and not in the main listening room which is just several steps away. If you look carefully, you can see my all Rega office system (Radio tuner, Brio integrated amp, and Ara speakers) which I listen to most of the day. I'm in process of getting a long enough set of speaker cables to put the Rega Ara speakers on some old 30" tall speaker stands which will flank my desk back by the windows on the left and right. Not exactly optimal speaker positioning, but it should make listening to NPR and the local jazz radio station a bit more entertaining during the day. Now if I could only convince Rega to add a remote volume control to the Brio, I'll be all set!

A look at the old listening couch in the main listening room and the audio geeks coffee table (which is usually a bit of a mess). The old listening couch is getting long of tooth and is due for a replacement soon. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a nice couch? Anyway, next month I'll have some pictures of our upstairs listening room to show you which will feature some new low budget, high bang for the buck Canadian speakers which we are now carrying!
